  1.                      Welcome to the Bright Ideas CD-ROM.

  3. If you have MS Windows v3.x(R) then please load it now and DOUBLE-CLICK the  
  4. README.WRI file.  This MS Write file will give you instructions for using the
  5. CD-ROM.

  8. Not running Windows?  Although Windows is suggested, it is not required for  
  9. using our images.  It is however required for the use of the fonts.

  12. CONTENTS: 
  13.  
  14. 80 Images in Both B&W and Color
  15. Bright Ideas images come in three formats:
  16. PCX, TIF, and EPS.  These images have been grouped together for easy access,
  17. as you will see in the directory structure below.  Please make note of Bright
  18. Ideas magazine images marked with TIFF only. They will not have EPS copies.    
  19. This is only done with highly detailed images.

  22. Backgrounds (CD-ROM BONUS)
  23. A special bonus in each issue for CD-ROM subscribers only!  Ten really cool  
  24. backgrounds.  These backgrounds are pre-made for you in Adobe Photoshop.  Why 
  25. take the time to build new ones, when you will have a set of backgrounds at 
  26. your fingertips?  You friends will be impressed and your clients will thank 
  27. you.  Note: Backgrounds with an L in the filename were saved in a lower 
  28. resolution.  The H represents higher resolution.  If you are low on memory 
  29. please use the files marked with an L.

  32. Fonts
  33. 8 unique typefaces.  Bright Ideas fonts come in two formats:  Postscript Type  
  34. 1, and TrueType.  Please refer to the directory structure below for location. 
  35. Also note that #### is the font identification number that we have assigned  
  36. to a particular font.  Please refer to Bright Ideas magazine for the font and
  37. it's corresponding number.

  40. Image Index (CD-ROM BONUS)
  41. A list of images sorted by topic. You may import the catalog into any word
  42. processor and search by topic e.g. MAN -Child - girl.  You will find this
  43. ASCII formatted text file in the \INDEX directory.

  46. Software Demos (CD-ROM BONUS)
  47. From time to time we will provide you with evaluation copies of some of the  
  48. programs reviewed in Bright Ideas.  Look inside the \DEMO directory for
  49. the free Demos.

  52. 3D Models (CD-ROM BONUS)
  53. Five 3D models available as wire-frame files.  Each file is saved in DXF 
  54. and TIF format and can be imported into most 3D imaging programs.
